Coln Valley 2, 5 and 10 km Charity Trail Run

The Coln Valley Trail Runs take place on 06 Sep 2026 along the Coln River valley between Coln St Aldwyns and Bibury. The event is organised by Friends of Hatherop C of E Primary School and raises funds for the school's Big Build Project. Parking is on fields adjacent to the River Coln at the bottom of the village, by Yew Tree Lodge, Coln St Aldwyns GL7 5AJ.

Routes and course features are described as follows. The 2 km steeplechase fun run crosses undulating grassy fields, includes hay bale hurdles, two crossings of the "dip of doom" and a final climb known as "heart break hill". The 5 km and 10 km routes leave the valley on a short climb then follow gently undulating grass pasture; the 10 km splits at around 3 km into a figure of eight that passes Bibury and Arlington Row cottages. The routes are clearly marked and are about 95% on trail. A water and jelly baby station will be provided on route.

Age recommendations are given per distance and some younger runners should be accompanied by an adult. Entry on the day may be available for an additional fee if spaces remain. Facilities include ample parking, toilets, a BBQ and cakes. Race timing is provided by Lush Race Timing. Prizes are awarded in male and female categories with specific awards for each distance. Hazelbury Hurrah! is a multi terrain running event in Corsham on 10 July 2026 with a main six mile course and a 2 km junior race. The race is Trail Running Association licensed and supports local charities.
