Coln Valley 2, 5 & 10km Charity Trail Run

The Coln Valley trail runs take place on 06 Sep 2026 near Coln St Aldwyns, by Yew Tree Lodge (GL7 5AJ). The event supports Friends of Hatherop C of E Primary School’s Big Build Project. Parking is on fields adjacent to the River Coln. Early bird discounts apply until the end of May.

Distances

  • 2 km Steeplechase Fun Run: cross country with hay bale hurdles and two dip crossings.
  • 5 km Gently undulating grass pasture; mainly trail; water and jelly baby station.
  • 10 km Splits near 3 km into a figure of eight to Bibury and Arlington Row.

All routes will be clearly marked and are approximately 95% on trail. A water and jelly baby station is provided on route. Age recommendations are given: the 2 km is open to all ages with under 7s advised to be accompanied by an adult (adult entry not required if the adult is entered in the 5 km or 10 km); the 5 km is recommended for those aged 11 or over unless accompanied by an adult; the 10 km is recommended for those aged 16 or over.

Prizes are awarded in male and female categories. Minimum prizes include top three overall in each distance, top three U8 for the 2 km and top three over 50 in the 10 km. Facilities listed include ample parking, toilets, a BBQ and cakes. Entry on the day may be possible if spaces remain, for an additional £2 per entry.
