Trail Running calendar near Tow Law 2026-2027

UKA British Fell and Hill Relays take place on Saturday 17 October 2026, hosted by Todmorden Harriers at Todmorden Cricket Club and Centre Vale Park. Event details are being finalised and will be added when available.

Multi-distance running event in Knaresborough with 10k (ish), half, 20-mile, marathon and ultra options on a 6.5-mile loop through parkland and a converted rail track. Feed stations, finisher medal and post-race refreshments are provided.

Trail races on 18 October 2026 near Shotley Bridge offering 53 km and 25 km routes, feed stations, live chip timing, mandatory kit for the ultra and free parking.

A 9 km fell race with 250 m of climb in the North York Moors, starting and finishing at Sutton Bank Visitor Centre. The course is partially marked, requires navigation without GPS, and requires full FRA mandatory kit.

Two trail races at Danby Lodge on 18 October 2026, offering 10 km and 5 km loops with a 150 runner limit. Entries close 1 October or when full and fees differ for affiliated and unaffiliated runners.

Family-friendly Halloween fun run at Thorpe Farm Centre with adult 5K and children 2K or 5K, costume prizes and proceeds donated to UTASS.

Off road 10K through the Riddell Estate with views of the Eildon and Cheviot Hills. A fundraising event with pay what you can entry and a 200 runner limit.

Approximately 5 mile trail race near Shield Row over tarmac, gravel and woodland trails with about 500 ft of elevation.

Trail ultramarathon along the Nidderdale Way with 13, 20, 32 and 55 mile options through classic Yorkshire landmarks and supplied trackers for all entrants.

A trail running event at Ravenscar on 24 October 2026 offering 10K, half marathon, marathon and ultra distances within the National Park. Routes run on moorland and grassland with marked courses and electronic timing.

The Nidderdale Way Ultramarathon will take place in Pateley Bridge on Saturday 24 October 2026.

A 38 mile trail ultramarathon with a relay option held in association with the Jedburgh Running Festival. The event on 24 October 2026 is presented as LGBTIQ+ and nonbinary friendly, with entries opening 1 March 2026 at 8pm.

A backyard ultra in Gisburn Forest where runners complete a fully off road loop each hour until one person remains. Field capped at 200 with prizes for top finishers and an extra award for anyone exceeding 100 mile.

Cross the Lake District from north to south on this 54 mile ultra along the Cumbria Way. This supported race features over 2600 meters of ascent and offers live GPS tracking for all participants.

Run the Bronte Way fell race through the South/West Pennines, a scenic 12 km point to point with 351 m of climb. Pre entry only with limited bus support and a warming soup and roll at the finish make this a classic autumn challenge.

Take on the classic Buttermere fell race on 25 October 2026 at Gatesgarth Farm, a tough 5 km senior route with 600 m of climbing plus short junior races. Enjoy a traditional shepherds meet atmosphere, entry on the day and a warm drink.

Tackle Lockton Limping, a scenic fell race across the North York Moors covering 11.2 km with 350 m of climb and sweeping views. Entry is on the day at Lockton Village Hall, perfect for both competitive and social runners.

Obstacle-course race at Aske estate for dogs and owners, with 5 km and 10 km routes, dozens of marked obstacles and an 850 m muddy assault section.

A Halloween themed trail event on the Leeds to Liverpool Canal in Kirkstall offering distances from a family friendly 1 mile to ultra marathon. The licensed course is marshalled and features drink stations, Halloween medals and spot prizes.

Celebrate Halloween with a historic fell race starting at the Summit Inn in Littleborough. This 4.3 mile event features 800 feet of ascent and includes categories for all ages from juniors to seniors.
