Trail Running calendar near Tibthorpe 2026-2027

Experience a 7.3 km trail race through the scenic Derwent Valley featuring forest paths and technical descents. Conquer a steep climb to the Oker Trig Point for panoramic views before a fast downhill finish.

A challenging fell race in the Peak District featuring 370m of climb over a 6km course. Entry is on the day at Cartworth Moor Cricket Club near Holmfirth. The route is well marked and marshalled for a classic short fell running experience.

A relaunched 5.5 mile fell race in Flagg on 14 August 2026, running off road through fields, lanes and country roads toward Pomeroy and Chelmorton with a downhill return to the village. Pre-entry £7, race-day £8.

A multi-distance towpath event in Saltaire offering routes from 5k to ultra, regular feed stations, on-course marshals, finisher medals and nearby train and parking access.

Ilkley Skyline offers 35 km and 22 km fell running routes across the moors around Ilkley, starting and finishing at The Hermit in Burley Woodhead. The unmarked courses require a GPX or route map and include checkpoints and two aid stations.

Trail runs through the private Lambton Estate near Chester-le-Street offering 5, 10 and 15 mile routes across woodland, fields and estate roads. Canicross friendly with chip timing, on-site parking and finishers' medal plus refreshments.

The Piethorne Fell Race will take place in Milnrow on Sunday 16 August 2026. You can run 10 kilometers.

A fell race in Crowden on 16 August 2026 following the Pennine Way to Black Hill and Soldiers Lump. Online and on-the-day entry options are available, minimum age 18, limited parking and a GPX route is provided.

The Langdale End Show Race will take place in Langdale End on Sunday 16 August 2026. You can run 14 kilometers.

A trail half marathon in the North York Moors on 16 August 2026 covering about 13.1 miles with multiple ascents of Roseberry Topping. Limited to 50 runners, five hour cut off, mandatory safety kit and a bespoke finisher medal.

The Pilgrims Cross Fell Race will take place in Helmshore on Wednesday 19 August 2026. You can run 11 kilometers.

Bingley Rock up n' Run is a pop up Summer Series event in Bingley offering 5k and 10k routes with on the evening registration. Runners receive a jumble medal, food, a drink and a sweetie bag.

A senior 5 km race and a 2.5 km junior race at Whitehills Nature Park on 20 August 2026 with a flat two lap gravel course, chip timing and UKA rules in effect.

A self-navigated trail event in Edale with four distances across steep, muddy and rocky terrain; GPX maps and staffed checkpoints are provided, and some kit is mandatory.

Trail races on the flat Leeds/Liverpool Canal towpath at Kirkstall with five distances on a lapped 6.7 mile loop. Feed stations, marshals and finish food are provided; all finishers receive a bespoke medal.

Experience a scenic thirty kilometer circular fell race through ancient woodland and Roman roads. This chipped and sign posted event is open to runners and walkers looking to explore the Midshires Way.

A single-lap, chip-timed trail race of about 7 miles through Adel Woods, Scotland Woods and Meanwood Park near Leeds. Organised by Valley Striders AC with prize categories for overall and masters age groups and limited entries.

The Roseberry Topping will take place in Newton under Roseberry on Wednesday 26 August 2026.

Golf Ball Fell Race is organised by Rossendale Harriers on 26 August 2026. Entry is on the day and runners should carry the recommended FRA kit, which may be checked depending on conditions.
