Event Overview

The Punk Panther Autumn Headtorch Half is a trail running event scheduled for Tuesday, 6th October 2026. It offers three approximate distances:

The event has a maximum of 150 participants and is organized by Punk Panther Ultra Marathons.

Location

The event takes place at Swinsty Moor Car Park in North Lane, LS21 2NP. The car park is pay and display, costing £3 for 6 hours with card payment only. Toilets are available in the car park.

Course

The course is not taped. The routes are as follows:

  • Half marathon: Two laps around Swinsty and Fewston Reservoirs with approximately 800 feet of climb.
  • 10 km: One lap around Swinsty and Fewston Reservoirs with approximately 400 feet of climb.
  • 5 km: One lap around Swinsty Reservoir with approximately 200 feet of climb.

Requirements

Participants must be 16 years or older. A kit list is mandatory, including a head torch and a mobile phone with the race director's contact numbers stored; the phone must be kept on during the event. Entry fees are £15.00.

Additional Details

Water is available at a checkpoint after the first lap for the half marathon and at the finish. Every finisher receives a medal. Final instructions are emailed the week before the event, and results are published online. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

Trail runs nearby

Choose a 25-mile or 12-mile route through the Yorkshire Dales, open to walkers and runners. It starts from Cracoe Village Hall and includes checkpoints with refreshments. The event must be completed within 10 hours.
