Punk Panther Autumn Headtorch Half

The Punk Panther Autumn Headtorch Half is a weekday trail event held on 6 October 2026 around Swinsty and Fewston Reservoirs, based at Swinsty Moor Car Park, North Lane, LS21 2NP. The event is organised by Punk Panther Ultra Marathons and uses pre-entry through the SiEntries system.

Distances offered

  • Half Marathon: two laps of Swinsty and Fewston Reservoirs
  • 10 km: one lap of Swinsty and Fewston Reservoirs
  • 5 km: one lap of Swinsty Reservoir

The course is not taped. Water will be available at the Punk Panther gazebo after the first lap and at the finish. The finish is located at the edge of the woods before the road back to the car park. Every finisher receives a medal. Final competitor instructions will be emailed in the week before the event and results will be published after the race.

Practical information: registration takes place at the Punk Panther gazebo by the toilet block at the car park entrance and toilets are available in the car park. The car park is pay and display at three pounds for six hours, card payment only. Maximum entrants 150. Entry fee is fifteen pounds and the minimum age is 16. Entries open 30 November 2025 and close 5 October 2026. Entry requires a SiEntries account and entries are not accepted on the day.

Three circular challenge routes of 26.2, 23 and 18 miles around the Colne Valley near Marsden. Entries are by SIEntries with a 150 person limit and include checkpoints, refreshments and a finish meal.

A self-navigated trail event around Delph, Saddleworth covering about 19 miles with 3000 ft of ascent. The unmarked course visits five trig points, has three manned checkpoints, and requires full kit and a minimum age of 18.
