Trail Running calendar near Swinsty Reservoir 2026-2027

Experience a hilly 5 mile fell race through the scenic Kerridge Ridge and Rainow. This FRA licensed event features local charity support, a community atmosphere, and traditional post race cakes for all participants.

Evening trail runs at Gibside National Trust on 5 May 2027 with 5 km and 10 km options, live chip timing and Canicross friendly.

Evening pop up runs at Rodley with 5k and 10k options, finishers receive a jumble medal and a soft drink. Entry fees are listed from £12 to £17 and payment on the day is accepted.

A 14.5 km fell race on 8 May 2027 from Rydal Hall, Ambleside, with 914 m ascent. Entrants need fell-racing experience and map-and-compass navigation; the route is only partly flagged and has five checkpoints.

A supported 37 mile mountain trail along the Pennine Way from Teesdale to Alston, passing High Cup Nick, Crossfell and several staffed checkpoints.

A measured, chip-timed 5k through Middlewich canals and trails with a family fun run on the cricket pitch; medals, goody bags and age-group prizes for finishers.

Hardmoors White Horse at Sutton Bank on 9 May 2027 offers three trail distances with published ascent and time limits. Competitors must carry mandatory kit, navigate with supplied maps and GPX files, and use their own cup at checkpoints.

Multiple distance running event in Avenham Park, Preston with 10K, half, marathon and ultra on marked hard surface loops and post race refreshments.

A 7.5 mile clockwise circuit around Carsington Reservoir with scenic views, a bespoke finisher medal, and support for Derby & District RSPCA; entrants must be 16 or older.
