Tackle classic Lake District terrain at the High Wether Howe fell race on Sat 25 Jul 2026, a 14 km route with 485 m of climb starting and finishing at Stepps Hall. Entry on the day is welcome and proceeds support the Shap community fund.

A 5k obstacle event at Costello Stadium on 25 July 2026 where participants climb, crawl and slide across grass and tarmac while raising funds for Cancer Research UK. Waves run every 15 minutes and participants must be 13 years or older.

Trail races start from Piglove By The River in Leeds and follow riverside footpaths past St Aiden's and Fairburn Ings. Distances are about 43 to 45 km and about 22 km, with aid stations, a finisher medal and a pint from Piglove Brewery.

A long fell race across Pennine moorland near Holmfirth covering 28.5 km with 1,285 m of ascent. Category AL event requiring navigation skills and mandatory mountain kit, with checkpoints, a 200 runner limit and minimum age 18.

A marshalled, approximately 14 mile coastal race from Beadnell Harbour to Alnmouth Estuary on 26 July 2026 with a three hour 30 minute cut-off and a 1000-runner limit. Bus transfers and T-shirt options must be booked by 14 June 2026.

This 14 km fell run in the Yorkshire Dales starts from historic Bolton Castle. The route includes 305 metres of climb and welcomes teams. Records show a fast, competitive history for this FRA-permitted event.

A seven mile trail through Ingram Valley that visits ancient hillforts and offers views of the Cheviot Hills. The course is fully marked and registration and race numbers are handled at Ingram Village Hall; dogs are not permitted.

Evening 5km and 10km races from Piglove By The River in Leeds, running along riverside trails and the Trans Pennine Trail, with toilets, bag storage and a post-race drink from Piglove Brewery. Entry limited to 150, minimum age 18.

The Woodham Burn 5k will take place in Newton Aycliffe on Wednesday 29 July 2026. You can run 5 kilometers.

An evening pop-up running event in Skipton offering 5 km and 10 km races, pay-on-the-day places, a jumble medal and post-race hot food with drink options.

A time based trail festival at Druridge Bay on 31 July to 1 August 2026, featuring 12 and 24 hour running formats on a 4 km loop for solo runners, pairs, or teams, plus an outdoor Hybrid Games area and live music and food vendors.

August 2026

She Strides Women only 50K is a women only ultramarathon in West Yorkshire with a circular marked 50 km route and about 1400 m of ascent. Four vegan friendly checkpoints and a ten hour cutoff at checkpoint 4 support participants.

A 37 mile ultramarathon on Isaac's Tea Trail run in reverse around the North Pennines AONB, starting and finishing in Allendale. Solo and three person relay options, self navigated with checkpoints, GPX support and a 12 hour completion wind..

A 36 mile ultramarathon along the Esk Valley Way from Castleton to Whitby Harbour. Fully way marked with GPS tracking, staffed checkpoints, mandatory kit requirements and a finisher medal.

A 24 mile walk or run around Calderdale from Heath Rugby Club, following footpaths, woods and a riverside stretch, with checkpoints, refreshments and a finish meal; participants should bring their own mug.

A fell race held during the Osmotherley Show on Saturday 1 August 2026, covering 8.8 km with 320 m of climb. Open to runners aged 16 and over, entry is on the day and show admission is required.

A 10 km trail race through Gisburn Forest near Slaidburn, Lancashire on 1 August 2026, organised by Pendle Trail Running Club. Licensed by the Trail Running Association with entries open 18 April to 17 July.

A country show hill race in Powburn featuring a marked six mile course that climbs East Hill and returns via Ingram, with a separate two mile junior race for under 14s.

A six hour timed challenge in Hull where runners can cover distances from 5K to ultra marathon on a 4.37 mile out and back lap beside an old railway line. Finishers receive a bespoke medal and a five piece goody bag.

A fell race on Farleton Knott with a 2.60 mile / 4.20 km route and 750 feet / 230 meters of climb. The course climbs the front of the fell, crosses the top and returns along the lower path; parking costs £3.
