Tackle the Hameldon Quarry Race on 28 July 2026 in Hapton, Burnley, a lively 6.5 km trail with about 400 m of climb through Bowland terrain. Day entry only, low fees and team categories make it ideal for a spontaneous challenge.

The Wizard 5 is a multi terrain 5 mile race around Alderley Edge, Nether Alderley and Hare Hill. The race follows a traditional woodland and field route and is organised by Wilmslow Running Club with proceeds donated to charity.

Evening 5 km and 10 km races from Piglove By The River in Leeds, on flat riverside trails along the Trans Pennine Trail. Limited entry, basic facilities, and a courtesy drink for finishers.

An evening pop-up running event in Skipton offering 5 km and 10 km races, pay-on-the-day places, a jumble medal and post-race hot food with drink options.

August 2026

A women only 50 km ultramarathon around Hebden Bridge and Haworth with 5,000 feet of ascent, vegan friendly checkpoints about every 6 miles, trackers, baggage storage, sanitary products and a finisher medal.

A trail run and challenge walk in Hartington, Peak District, with two routes of about 26 miles and 15 miles. Routes use GPX and written guides, have checkpoints with aid stations, and require mandatory navigation and safety kit.

A **36 miles** ultra following the Esk Valley Way from Castleton to Whitby Harbour, fully way marked and GPS tracked, with staffed checkpoints, medical support and options for coach or train return.
