Trail Running calendar near Rivington 2026-2027

A five mile trail race in Worsley Woods on 27 September 2026, organised by Swinton Running Club and based at Beesley Green Community Centre. Tickets are available as affiliated or unaffiliated and race numbers are collected on the day.

A long trail event around Rotherham covering about 80 km (50 miles) with roughly 800 m of climb across varied paths and fields. The course is divided into eight stages with checkpoints and supports both solo runners and relay teams.

A Peak District walking event in Buxton on 3 October 2026 with long and short routes through Axe Edge, Goyt Valley and Shining Tor. Organised by High Peak LDWA with checkpoints, refreshments and parking at the school.

A 35 mile circular ultra from Studley Roger that follows the northern Ripon Rowel through trail, woodland and moorland. The route includes four staffed checkpoints, a 10 hour time limit and mandatory kit requirements.

A 15.2 km fell race in the Peak District with 490 m of climb, held at Curbar Primary School on 3 October 2026. Pre-entry is required and proceeds go to Curbar Primary School.

Coastal off road races from Peasholm Park, Scarborough, offering distances from 5 km to marathon along the historic Cinder Track, with water stations about every three miles and a Grim Bling medal for finishers.

A junior fell running race in the Pennines for ages 6 and up. The 2 km course starts near a classic pub. Entry is available on the day.

A single-lap **5K** in Roundhay Park, Leeds, taking in the lake and a climb to the Mansion House. Multi-terrain, undulating course with chip timing, finisher medal and individual prizes; entries limited and close 28 September 2026.

Castle Carr is a 24 km fell race in the South/West Pennines near Hebden Bridge on 4 October 2026, with about 1200 m of ascent and official FRA permit and insurance.

An evening trail event on 6 October 2026 around Swinsty and Fewston Reservoirs offering half marathon, 10 km and 5 km options, water points and a medal at the woodland finish.
