The 8 Trigs of Trigmas - 24 Hour Ultra Challenge
The event is a 24 hour challenge for walkers and runners, open to solo entrants and teams of four. It is based at Maes Carafanau Llanbenwch, Wrexham Road, Ruthin, in the Vale of Clwyd, North East Wales. Participants visit trig points near the event base on fully marked out-and-back routes that return to the campsite after each trig.
On-site facilities include toilets, showers, changing rooms, a bag drop, cafe access, and access to vehicles and camping setups. There is an option to book an electric hook-up pitch for the duration at additional cost. Parking for cars and vehicles is included at no extra cost unless otherwise stated.
Two entry options are offered: the full eight-trig route, which covers a stated total of 100 miles, and a shorter five-trig option covering 55 miles. The event will provide on-site support, live music, and event facilities during the day and night. All participants receive a bespoke medal and a certificate.
Distances to each trig are given as total out-and-back distances from the campsite: Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
