The 5 Trigs of Trigmas - 24 Hour Ultra Challenge

The event is a 24 hour walking and running challenge based at Maes Carafanau Llanbenwch, Wrexham Road, Ruthin in the Vale of Clwyd, North East Wales. Participants visit trig points on fully marked out and back routes that return to the event base after each visit. Navigation is described as straightforward due to the marking and the out and back format.

Entries are available for solo participants and for teams of three, with team members typically covering two trigs each. Completing all five trigs covers a total distance of 115 km. There is a shorter option named "3 trigs of trigmas" that involves the first 4 trigs of the main challenge and covers 70 km; this shorter option is also intended to be completed within the 24 hour event period.

Facilities at the event base include toilets, showers, changing facilities, bag drop, cafe access, parking and access to vehicles and camping setups. An electric hook up pitch is available for booking at an additional cost. On-site activities include live music and on-course support. All participants receive a bespoke medal and a certificate.
