Welsh 3000 Challenge (14 Peaks)

The Welsh 3000 Challenge climbs all the peaks in Snowdonia that are officially recognised as over 3000 feet in a continuous route. The route includes Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa 1085 m) and other summits such as Crib Goch, Glyder Fawr, Glyder Fach, Tryfan and the Carneddau range, and may include additional nearby tops along the intended line.

The event is offered as a single day guided 20 hour challenge or as a two day guided option on 18 July 2026 and 18–19 July 2026 respectively. Total distance is about 50 km with a height gain close to 4000 m. Some sections require exposed scrambling; Crib Goch will only be attempted in good weather and can be avoided by anyone who prefers an alternative route. Previous hill walking experience is recommended.

Guiding is provided at a low staff to participant ratio, typically 1 to 4, using qualified Mountain Leaders and Mountaineering Instructors. There are two pace options, run and walk, with navigation support and occasional navigation workshops. Support includes refuelling opportunities at three key locations, a following support team, and transport back to the start. Entry options list a 20 hour fee of £299 and a two day fee of £399 with an instalment payment option available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
