Route and logistics
The route covers all 14 peaks officially over 3000 ft in Snowdonia in a continuous journey, with a total distance of about 50 km and approximately 4000 m of ascent. Notable sections include Snowdon, the knife-edged ridge of Crib Goch (this ridge will only be undertaken in good weather and can be avoided), the Glyders, Tryfan and the Carneddau range. The organisers provide low-ratio guiding (1:4) using qualified Mountain Leaders and Mountaineering Instructors; run leaders are experienced ultramarathon runners. Support includes food and drink at three road-crossing checkpoints, a following support team, transport back to the start, and navigation guidance. The team notes some groups have completed the route in about 12 hours and a recorded time between first and last peak of 4 hours 10 minutes (this excludes the first ascent and final descent). Additional peaks alongside the intended route may be included. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
