Trail Running calendar near Rimington 2026-2027

A six-day, 380 km mountain ultra across Wales with 16,400 m ascent, running from Conwy Castle to Cardiff Castle. Multiple shorter options are available and the route requires map navigation, mandatory kit and issued GPS tracking.

Enjoy a Peak District fell race at Oxspring Playing Field, a punchy 6.2 km course with 190 m of ascent through scenic terrain. On the day entries welcome for a modest fee and the event is part of an eight race series.

A roughly 100 km loop around Leeds using the Leeds Country Way footpaths, mostly rural and waymarked with the owl. The event provides a GPX route, checkpoint food and a finishers' medal, and requires specific navigation and safety kit.

An inflatable obstacle course event in Bakewell on 12 September 2026 offering 2.5K to 15K options with giant inflatables, music zones and a finisher's medal. Family and group discounts, on-course water and event facilities are provided.

Trail ultramarathons in the Peak District on 12–13 September 2026 with distances from 12 km to 110 km, UTMB Index status and camping options. The event also forms part of the GB SLAM series.

A 20 mile unmarked traverse across nine gritstone edges raising funds for Edale Mountain Rescue Team. Participants walk, run, or climb with mandatory navigation and kit requirements and checkpoints offering refreshments.

Tackle a classic Lake District fell run around Helvellyn and the Dodds, a rugged 18.5 km loop with 1450 m of climbing and stunning mountain views. Open to adults with pre entry or day entry for a proper fell challenge.

A 36 km, 2200 m ascent fell race around the Northern Fells from Hesket Newmarket. An FRA AL category English Championship event requiring navigation, mandatory kit and several summit checkpoints on an exposed loop.

Cronkley Fell Race is a 10.5 mile fell race with 1800 ft of ascent around Upper Teesdale and the River Tees. Organised by Durham Fell Runners, entries are via SI Entries and the entry price includes a free chip butty.

MacTuffX Manchester at Etihad Campus on 12 September 2026 pairs ten Xercises with repeated runs in solo, doubles or relay formats, offers a LITE weight division, and publishes results on a detailed public leaderboard.

A military style obstacle course event in Gisburn, Ribble Valley Lancashire on 12 September 2026, offering 12 km and 6 km race options with multiple military grade obstacles, team entries and an Elite competitive race with prizes.

Raven 7 is an 11.25 km fell race with 445 m of ascent around Llanarmon yn lal, based at the Raven Inn. Entry is £5 on the day and the course is partially marked.

A trail running event in Alton on 12 September 2026 offering a 10 km trail and a 2 mile fun run. The route uses gravel tracks and woodland trails and passes through the grounds of Alton Castle; medals for all finishers.

A 13 km marked trail race around Crosby Garrett with 400 m of ascent and views across the Eden and Lune valleys. Junior races run for ages U7 to U17 with on the day entry and separate junior fee.

A 10 mile trail run on the North York Moors along the Lykewake Walk visiting Lilla Howe and Louven Howe, with navigation expected, a three hour time limit and a bespoke finisher medal. Entry limited to 50 runners aged 18 or older.

A long established off road event on 13 September 2026 with marathon and half marathon routes across moorland, trails and woods, live timing, multiple feed stations and event clothing and prizes.
