The Lap - Windermere Ultra Anticlockwise

The Lap is a fully signposted ultra trail that circumnavigates Lake Windermere over a distance of 47 miles / 75K. The route is marked with thousands of arrows and is supported with GPS tracking, a waterproof foldable map and GPX files for all competitors. The course includes six food and drink stations, with a designated halfway aid station and shoe bag drop at Troutbeck.

Entries are offered for clockwise and anticlockwise versions of the race, with events held in May and September. Minimum age is 16 years on race day. The event operates a 24 hour overall time limit and cutoffs that come into force from the halfway aid station; retirement procedures require reporting to a marshal and returning the tracker.

All competitors must register in person at Race HQ and carry the mandatory kit list at all times; random kit checks are carried out and failure to comply may result in disqualification. Bag drop is limited to a small shoe bag handed in at registration only.

Race HQ is at Low Cunsey Farm, Cunsey, Ambleside, Cumbria LA22 0LU. Spectators and pacers are restricted from providing outside assistance and may not enter feed stations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
