SilverBackTrails Lilla’s Revenge

SilverBackTrails Lilla’s Revenge is a 10-mile trail running event in the North York Moors National Park on 22 February 2026. The route follows part of the Lykewake long-distance footpath and visits Lilla Howe, site of Lilla Cross, and Louven Howe. The course passes Jugger Beck and Jugger Moor and includes views toward Whitby, Ravenscar, Scarborough Castle, the Wolds and Blakey Ridge to the East Cleveland coast. The route will be shown on a master map at registration; there will be some flags and marshals but participants are expected to navigate themselves.

Practical information

Entry is limited to 50 participants, with a minimum age of 18. Entries are via SiEntries only; no entries on the day. The entry fee is £20. There is a three-hour time limit. Each finisher receives a bespoke medal. Ample parking is available at the start lay-by (grid reference NZ 945002); a £1 charge per car will be collected and donated to the National Park. During the event participants need to be self-sufficient; water, coke and sweets will be provided at the finish only.

Required minimum kit includes a waterproof jacket with taped seams unless Paramo, hat and gloves, a spare thermal top or jacket for emergency use, an emergency bivvy bag, 500 ml of fluid, at least 60 g of food, a fully charged mobile phone (What3words or OS Locate/OS Maps advised), a working compass, an OL 27 OS Map or Harvey’s Map of the North Yorkshire Moors, and a cup for drinks. Dogs are welcome on a short lead or harness; dog-powered runners will start after other participants and their three-hour limit will be adjusted accordingly. Hardmoors 15 is a scenic 18 mile circular trail starting and finishing in Robin Hood's Bay, weaving coastal paths and moorland for a true northern challenge. Limited entry and a medal plus tech tee await finishers.
