SilverBackTrails Lilla’s Revenge is a 10-mile trail running event on the North York Moors National Park. The route follows part of the Lykewake Walk footpath and visits Lilla Howe and Louven Howe. The course includes open moorland, climbs onto Jugger Moor and a return past Jugger Beck, with views toward Whitby, Ravenscar, Scarborough Castle and the Wolds. Each finisher receives a bespoke medal. The event date is 13 September 2026.

The start is at the lay-by on the A171 above Jugger Howe, grid reference NZ 945002 (what3words: soggy.december.configure). Entry is limited to 50 participants, with a current entry fee of £20. All entrants must be at least 18 years old. Entries are via SiEntries only; there are no entries on the day. There is parking at the start; a £1 per car charge will be collected on the day and donated to the National Park.

Participants must navigate themselves; the route will be marked on a master map at registration and there will be some flags and marshals. There is a 3 hour time limit. Water, cola and sweets will be available at the finish, but competitors should be self-sufficient during the event.

Mandatory kit and safety

All competitors must carry at minimum: waterproof jacket with taped seams unless Paramo, hat and gloves, spare thermal top or jacket, emergency bivvy, 500 ml fluid, at least 60 g of food, fully charged mobile phone, working compass, OL27 OS map or Harvey’s North Yorkshire Moors map, and a cup for drinks.
