Join WODland Endurorun at Holme Styes Wood near Holmfirth for a scenic looped trail race with 5 km laps. Choose from 5 km, 10 km, 20 km or test your endurance in a 6 hour challenge solo or relay with up to three team members.

A 51 km point to point ultra across gritstone moors with about 1340 m of ascent, mandatory FRA kit, six feed stations and hot food at the finish. The route crosses Haworth, Todmorden and Hebden Bridge and may face wintry conditions.

Trail race around the Welcome Way near Otley, West Yorkshire, offering 13, 20, 34 and 50 mile courses across moorland, farmland and woodland. Minimum age 18; organiser provides trackers for ultramarathon distances.

Blakey Blitz on 14 March 2026 is a tough 16.8 km moorland race near Whitby with 855 m of climb and sweeping North York Moors views. Fast, scenic and ideal for experienced fell runners looking for a proper challenge.

Scenic trail races at Leighton Hall include a flowing 10k through farmland and reedbeds and a 21k half marathon with estuary and Lake District views. Earlybird places are limited and dogs are not permitted.

Trail runs around Alnwick Castle feature routes through Hulne Park and the Priory in two distances. The event uses live chip timing, includes a finisher medal and refreshments, and donates part of each entry to NE Youth.

A 6.5 mile fell race from Marsden Cricket Club featuring 260 m of ascent, sections of the Pennine Way and Standedge Trail and boggy moorland underfoot. The route has stream crossings and may require full FRA kit.

A Category AS fell race near Ingram, covering 8 km / 5 miles with significant ascent, held at Bulby’s Wood car park. Entry is on the day only for £5 and the event is part of the North East Fell Running Championship.

A three hour score mountain marathon from the Crooked Billet in Worsthorne on 15 March 2026, run over rough moorland. Solo or pair running is allowed with individual entry and full FRA kit required.

A 55 mile ultramarathon on 21 March 2026 from Guisborough to Helmsley across the North York Moors and Cleveland Hills, with about 2,300 m ascent, a 16 hour limit, compulsory tracker and strict mandatory kit checks.

A 14 km Category BM fell race on Chevin with about 650 metres of ascent. The partly flagged route starts and finishes on Station Road, uses a provided map and passes checkpoints including Surprise View, Danefield and Fells Plantation.

A Category BS fell race on the Chevin near Otley, run as a single hilly lap of roughly 9–10 km with about 390–400 m of ascent; limited facilities are provided and entries are available in advance or on the day.

A 10.9 km fell race with about 610 m of climb in the South/West Pennines near Portsmouth village. The flagged route has steep rough climbs and descents and requires full FRA kit.

A timed fell race from Langleeford that visits Hedgehope Hill and The Cheviot over an 11 mile route with about 3689 ft of ascent. The event includes a GPX route file, a halfway water station and mountain rescue support.

A canal-side running event in Sowerby Bridge offering 100 km, 50 km, half marathon and 10 km on flat towpaths with chip timing, aid stations and Race HQ at Sowerby Bridge Cricket Club.

A Category BL fell race around Heptonstall covering about 25 kilometres with 966 metres of ascent. The route crosses wooded valleys, upland pasture and moorland, requires full FRA kit and pre entry, and donates proceeds to local groups.

A headtorch trail event at Swinsty Moor Car Park on 24 March 2026 with Half Marathon, 10 km and 5 km routes around Swinsty and Fewston Reservoirs. Entrants are limited to 150 and every finisher receives a medal.

A night fell race from Barley up Pendle Hill and across Ogden Clough covering 9.2 km with 350 m climb. The route is marshalled and partially marked; a head torch, OL21 map and full FRA kit are required.

A Lake District weekend at The Showfield, Grasmere, with trail runs on Saturday and duathlons on Sunday. Routes include 5 km and 10 km options that pass Grasmere Water and Rydal Water; the event is canicross friendly.

An 11 km, fully marked trail race around Fremington Edge and Swaledale with a very steep ascent and technical descents; GPX and map available, mandatory waterproofs and basic safety kit required, entrants must be 16 or older.
