Kettlewell (Skirfare) Half Marathon : event overview

The event is a trail Half Marathon held on Saturday 20 June 2026 near Kettlewell in Wharfedale, Yorkshire Dales. The course includes around 900 m of ascent with three steep climbs and corresponding descents. Terrain features riverside footpaths, rolling moors and grassy descents. The race uses the car park field at Hawkswick Cote as the venue and passes through the village of Kettlewell during the route. Minimum age for entry is 17 and the race is a qualifier for the Yorkshire Three Peaks fell race. The event is part of the Due North Half Marathon series; a discount of up to £10 is available when entering all three series events.

Logistics, kit and included items

The course is partially way marked and a GPX route is available for download. Drinks stations provide water and juice; toilets are located in the car park and free parking is provided at the venue. Included for participants are a post-race meal (examples listed include pie, pasta or soup), tea or coffee at the finish, a bottled beer and merchandise or goodies from sponsors. Minimum kit requirements include a waterproof jacket, a cup or bottle for drinks stations and a mobile phone with a location app. Prize giving covers top finishers and several age-category awards.
