Kettlewell (Skirfare) Half Marathon

The event is a half marathon trail race held at the car park field at Hawkswick Cote near Kettlewell in the Yorkshire Dales. The route includes about 900 m of ascent with three steep climbs and associated descents, and passes riverside footpaths, rolling moors and grassy sections with views across Wharfedale.

The race is part of the Due North Race Series; entering all three events in the series offers a £10 discount and qualification for the series championship. Entry fees are listed as UKA member £35 and non UKA member £37. The event is run under UK Athletics rules and is licensed by the TRA. Minimum age for entry is 17.

Facilities listed for competitors include drinks stations with water and juice, a post race meal such as pie or soup, tea and coffee at the finish, a bottle of beer, Due North merchandise and sponsor goodies. Toilets are provided in the car park and free car parking is available at the venue. Prize giving is held once category winners have finished, with awards for overall positions and a range of age categories.

A 23 mile single-lap trail from Guiseley across Rombalds Moor and Ilkley Moor via Ilkley and Otley Chevin. The hilly, moorland course has water stations, limited facilities and an entry limit of 550 which is currently reached.
