Buckden Pike is Barlick Fell Runners’ classic fell race held on Buckden Pike. The event was first run in 1981, with the route designed by Peter Jebb after Buckden Gala invited him; he and his wife Anne led the race for two decades. In 1987, the route was tweaked to be more challenging, and this course has remained the same since, becoming the setting for the event’s records.

It is a category A fell race, with a requirement to carry full body cover if weather dictates; kit is mandatory. Records include 2022 Finlay Wild (30:39) and 1993 Carol Greenwood (36:32). Entry £6; minimum age 16. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
