Trail Running calendar near New Alston 2026-2027

Join the Saltire Trail Races in Athelstaneford on Saturday 9 May 2026 for scenic 2 km, 5 km and 10 km farm trails at Kilduff Farm. Family friendly fun and village fair treats raise funds for Athelstaneford Primary School.

This 5.2 mile fell race in North Yorkshire takes runners from Appletreewick to the summit of Simons Seat. The senior only event features a 1200 ft ascent and includes a drink at the finish line.

A 50 mile point to point ultra on 16 May 2026 from Lakeland Maze Farm Park to Lea Town with chip timing, live tracking and seven mandatory checkpoints. Pre registration is required and entrants must meet prior race criteria.

A low key trail half marathon of about 13.2 miles around Black Hambleton and Silton Woods near Osmotherley, with a 3.5 hour time limit, limited to 50 entries, mandatory safety kit and one checkpoint plus finish refreshments.

Derwent Reservoir Trail Runs on 17 May 2026 at Derwent Waterside Park near Consett offers 5km and 10km trail races with live chip timing, Canicross allowance, on-site parking and finishers' medals and merchandise.
