The Summits of The North York Moors Ultra is a challenging 115-mile circular trail run held within the North York Moors National Park, starting and finishing at Goathland Village Hall. The course features the 10 highest hills of the moors, traversing hills, moorland, and ancient tracks used since the Stone Age, including parts of the Cleveland Way, Esk Valley Walk, and Lyke Wake Walk. Runners navigate solo or in pairs, with a 35-hour time limit and a 23-hour cut-off at 80 miles. The route offers 14,000 feet of elevation, indoor checkpoints with food and rest facilities, and a rich historical landscape with burial mounds and ancient crosses.
