The Summits of The North York Moors Ultra is a challenging 115-mile circular ultra running event held within the North York Moors National Park, starting and finishing at Goathland Village Hall. The course includes the 10 highest hills of the moors, traversing hills, moorland, and ancient tracks such as parts of the Cleveland Way, Esk Valley Walk, and Lyke Wake Walk. Runners experience historic landmarks including burial mounds, medieval boundary stones, and Bronze Age earthworks. The route features approximately 14,000 feet of elevation gain, with a 35-hour time limit and checkpoints offering food, rest, and support.
