Event Overview
The Sundowner 5K Series is a summer evening event held across three parks in Edinburgh: Inverleith Park, Leith Links, and Fettes. The series consists of three separate 5 km races.
Dates and Locations
The races take place on three different evenings:
- Wednesday, June 3rd at Inverleith Park
- Wednesday, July 1st at Leith Links
- Wednesday, August 26th at Fettes
Event Details and Features
Each race follows a clearly marked inner trail path within its respective park, with marshals positioned along the route. The event uses chip timing, and race photography is available. All finishers receive a medal. A warm-up session is provided by Westwoods Health Club.
A maximum of 250 entries are available for each event, with online entry offered. Participants can choose to run a single race or the entire series.
Pricing and Registration
Entry fees are structured as follows:
- £12 for a single race
- £30 for all three races in the series
Awards
Prizes are awarded for the fastest male and female in each age category at every event. A special prize is given for the most improved runner across all three series races. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
