Lothersdale Show Fell Race (4 July 2026)
Lothersdale Show Fell Race is a short fell race with a long history, first run in 1847. The event uses a new course that avoids the long road section through the village. The race starts and finishes on the showfield and follows footpaths for most of the route, with a short section on road where it crosses White Hill Lane.
The course distance and climb are given as 1.5 miles and 400 ft. Entry is on the day at Lothersdale Show Field. Senior entry is £2 and junior entry is £1. Registration opens around 12:30 pm. Juniors and seniors run together.
Junior age categories are U11, U13, U15 and U18 and age is based on age on the day. The minimum age to enter is 8. There is a cash prize for the first male and the first female, certificates for the first three in each junior age category, and a prize for the first local.
