The Jane Tomlinson Canal Race Series Race 3 takes place in Methley, Leeds on 7 July 2026. It is the third of a three-race 5 km series organised by Rothwell Harriers AC to raise funds for the Jane Tomlinson Appeal. The series has been established for nearly 20 years. Prizes are awarded for all age categories for individual races and for the series. The final race in July includes a 1.5 mile fun run with a school competition, medals for all participants at the final race, a BBQ, a raffle and a cake competition. T-shirts are provided only to those who enter the full series.

Course, facilities and entries

The course is a single lap of a flat canal towpath along the Aire and Calder Navigation. The measured trail route is marshalled and not suitable for wheelchairs. Race HQ is at the Commercial Pub, Main Street, Methley, LS26 9JE. Toilets, changing facilities and a baggage store are available at the Race HQ; there are no water stations, no distance markers and no showers on course.
