Jane Tomlinson Canal Race Series RACE 3 takes place on 7 July 2026 in Methley, Leeds. It is the third race in a three-race 5 km series organised to raise money for the Jane Tomlinson Appeal. Prizes are awarded for all age categories for individual races and for the series. T-shirts are provided only for series entrants. Medals are given to all participants on the final race in July.

Course, facilities and entry

The 5 km course is on a flat canal towpath along the Aire and Calder Navigation. The route is measured and is marshaled by Rothwell Harriers AC. Race HQ is the Commercial Pub, Main Street, Methley, LS26 9JE, about a five minute walk from the start. The event has an entry limit of 500 and shows 344 remaining places. A race licence has been applied for. The event is not suitable for wheelchairs.

Facilities at the race include toilets, changing facilities and a baggage store. There are no water stations, no distance markers and no showers. Entry fees for Race 3 are listed as £15.00 for affiliated runners and £17.00 for unaffiliated runners. Entry on the day is not available.
