The Jane Tomlinson Canal Race Series Race 3 is scheduled for 7 July 2026 in Methley, Leeds. It is the third of three 5 km races held on a canal towpath and organised by Rothwell Harriers AC. The series raises money for the Jane Tomlinson Appeal and has been established for nearly 20 years. Prizes are awarded for all age categories for individual races and for the series.

Course and event details

The main race is a measured 5 kilometre course on a flat canal towpath along the Aire and Calder Navigation. The course is marshaled by Rothwell Harriers and consists of one lap. The event has an entry limit of 500 places and a race licence has been applied for. The Race HQ is the Commercial Pub, Main Street, Methley, where toilets and changing are available; the start is a short walk from Race HQ. Facilities listed include toilets, changing and a baggage store; there are no water stations, no distance markers and no showers. The final race in July includes a 1.5 mile fun run with a school competition, medals for everyone on the last race, and post-race activities such as a BBQ, raffle and cake competition.
