Hope Fell Race
Hope Fell Race takes place on Wednesday 1 July 2026. The course climbs to the summit of Win Hill, starting from the village Sports Club and running clockwise around the route.
The route covers 9.5 km (5.9 miles) with 451 metres of ascent. Runners follow a summer route that passes through the village before the climb.
Entry on the day carries a fee of £8. All profit from the race is donated to local charities and community groups.
Entrants must be 16 years of age or over; under 18s require parental consent. The event is registered with the Fell Runners Association and follows the association guidelines. Competitors must carry or wear full body cover including waterproofs with taped seams, plus a hat and gloves.
