The Dales Dash

The Dales Dash is a self-guided 6 miles trail run in the Peak District National Park, scheduled for Saturday 12 December 2026. The event starts and finishes at Great Longstone Village Hall in Great Longstone, Derbyshire. The route follows the historic Monsal Trail, passes through old railway tunnels and across Monsal Viaduct, then continues through Monsal and Cressbrook Dales.

The course includes flowing trails, woodland sections, open farmland and a mixture of climbs and descents, offering a range of terrain and several Peak District views. Participants receive written route instructions on the day; there are no GPX files provided and no marshals on the route. Runners are responsible for their own safety.
