The Handsworth Hobble is a 5.25-mile (8.5 km) trail race held in the southeast of Sheffield, starting from The Old Crown Inn on Handsworth Road. The undulating off-road course passes through the scenic Shirtcliffe Valley between Handsworth and Woodhouse, featuring woodland trails and fields that can be muddy in wet conditions, making trail shoes advisable. Fully marshalled, the race offers a challenging mid-week running experience. Water is provided at the finish, and participants are invited to enjoy drinks and prize presentations afterward at the race HQ.
