DalesRunner 30 takes place on 4 July 2026 in Muker, with race headquarters at Usha Gap Campsite. The route is roughly 31.7 km / 19.7 miles and includes almost 3,000 ft of ascent. Entry is limited to 200 runners. The organiser lists an age restriction of 18+ and entry fees of £32 (affiliated) and £34 (unaffiliated); prices include a £1 donation to the National Park.

Course and logistics

The circular, fully marked route starts from the meadows north of Muker and follows Hartlakes to Kisdon Force, crossing a footbridge before joining the Coast to Coast path to Ravenseat. The course crosses moorland past Robert’s Seat and Thomas Gill Hill to reach Tan Hill Inn, then follows a section of the Pennine Way back toward Kisdon. It passes Crackpot Hall, climbs Swinner Gill, descends along Gunnerside Gill to Ivelet, rejoins the Pennine Way beside the River Swale and finishes near the Rampsholme footbridge.

Surfaces include grassy trods, slabbed sections, hard-packed footpath, shooters track and short road stretches; a trail shoe is recommended. Aid stations and the finish provide water and food; aid stations offer water, Active Root, sweet and savoury options and limited electrolyte drinks but no plastic cups. Mandatory kit is required (examples: taped-seam waterproofs, hat or buff, gloves, emergency blanket/bivvy, minimum 500 ml water, cup or soft flask, fully charged mobile) and may be spot-checked. Parking is in a field adjacent to the campsite; portable toilets are available at the carpark only. Route GPX and a PDF map are available.
