DalesRunner 30

The DalesRunner 30 is a circular, fully marked 30 km route held on 4 July 2026 that climbs almost 3,000 ft from Swaledale to the Tan Hill Inn. The advertised start location is Usha Gap Campsite near Muker.

The route follows the Coast to Coast path to the hamlet of Ravenseat, then crosses remote expanses of moorland to reach the Tan Hill Inn. A section of the Pennine Way leads back toward Swaledale, followed by an ascent of Swinner Gill and a descending section on moorland tracks finishing through Muker’s Swaledale flower meadows.

Underfoot surfaces include grassy trods, slabbed sections, hard packed footpath, shooters track and a few short road sections. Organiser information notes GPX and a map are available, fully stocked aid stations with vegan and gluten free options, generous cutoffs, finishers hot meal and drinks, marshals on the route and car parking.

Entries open on 22 October 2025 and close on 28 June 2026. The minimum age is 16; runners under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Entry fees listed are UKA member £32.00 and non member £34.00.
