Event

DalesRunner 30 is an upland trail race held near Muker with race headquarters at Usha Gap Campsite. The course covers approximately 31.7 km (about 19.7 miles) and gains almost 3,000 ft of ascent. The field is limited to 200 entries. Entry fees are listed as £32 (affiliated) and £34 (unaffiliated). The event has an age restriction of 18 or older to enter. Course and logistics

The circular, fully marked route follows the Coast to Coast path to Ravenseat, crosses remote moorland to the Tan Hill Inn, then returns on a section of the Pennine Way. Key features include the climb of Swinner Gill, a descent down Gunnerside Gill, and a finish through Muker meadows near the Rampsholme footbridge. Surfaces include grassy trods, slabbed sections, hard-packed footpath, shooting tracks and short road/tarmac sections. Car parking is provided adjacent to the campsite.

Aid stations are positioned on the route and are reported to stock water, sports nutrition and sweet and savoury food, with vegan and gluten-free options noted; organisers do not provide disposable cups. There is mandatory kit, including taped-seam waterproof jacket and trousers, hat or buff, gloves, emergency blanket or bivvy, a cup or soft flask, at least 500 ml of water and a charged mobile phone.
