The DalesRunner 30 is a 30 km circular running event scheduled for July 4, 2026. It starts and finishes at Usha Gap Campsite in Muker, within the Yorkshire Dales.

Route Description

The course ascends almost 3,000 feet from Swaledale up to the Tan Hill Inn, noted as Great Britain’s highest pub. The route follows the Coast to Coast path to the small hamlet of Ravenseat, then traverses remote moorland to reach Tan Hill Inn. The return journey uses a section of the Pennine Way, including an ascent of Swinner Gill, and concludes with a descent through Muker's Swaledale flower meadows.

Terrain

Participants will encounter grassy trods, slabbed sections, hard-packed footpath, shooters track, and some short road sections.

Event Features

The event has generous cutoffs and fully stocked aid stations that offer vegan and gluten-free options. All finishers receive a hot meal and drinks. GPX files and maps are available, and car parking is provided. The route is fully marked.

Participation
