A multi-distance towpath event in Saltaire offering routes from 5k to ultra, regular feed stations, on-course marshals, finisher medals and nearby train and parking access.

Ilkley Skyline offers 35 km and 22 km fell running routes across the moors around Ilkley, starting and finishing at The Hermit in Burley Woodhead. The unmarked courses require a GPX or route map and include checkpoints and two aid stations.

A 12 or 24 hour hill and trail event on Moel Famau using a 7.51 km loop with 511 m ascent per lap. Solo runners and teams can complete as many laps as they choose while using on site camping and support facilities.

SkyRun Eryri in Rhyd-Ddu, Eryri/Snowdonia stages four mountain races from 16 km to 55 km on 15 August 2026, with large elevation gains, aid stations and a mix of ridgelines, scrambling and technical trails.

Join the Rusland 5, a scenic fell race across Rusland Showfield in the Lake District featuring a 4.8 mile route with 310 m of climb and shorter senior and junior options. Race entry is free; the show costs £5 and accepts entries on the day.

Race The Train 2026 in Tywyn, Mid-Wales on 15 August 2026 offers multiple running distances from a 14 mile challenge to a Toddlers Trot, with specified age categories and entry fees; entries close 10 August 2026.

Take on the Piethorne Fell Race on Sun 16 Aug 2026: a 10 km test with 275 m of climb across the scenic South West Pennines. Starts at the Bulls Head in Newhey with cash prizes for record breakers and both pre entries and on the day entry.

Ribble Runfest is a looped 10K to ultra event around Avenham Park and Upper Farm nature reserve in Preston, held on hard paths with on-course refreshments and bespoke medals for finishers.

Challenge yourself on the Sedbergh Hills fell race: 14 miles across scenic Yorkshire Dales with roughly 6000 ft of climb, testing endurance and navigation. Pre entry only via SI Entries; post race prizegiving and running camaraderie await.

A fell race in Crowden on 16 August 2026 following the Pennine Way to Black Hill and Soldiers Lump. Online and on-the-day entry options are available, minimum age 18, limited parking and a GPX route is provided.

Fell races for juniors and seniors take place at the Lakeland Country Fair, including a senior 8.5 km route to the summit of Coniston Old Man. Entry to the races is free on the day though Country Fair admission applies.

Shipman Knotts is a fell running event at Maggs How, Kentmere on 18 August 2026, organised by Helm Hill Runners. Entry is £6; parking is limited and the new parking area is a 10-minute walk uphill to registration.

A traditional agricultural and horticultural show in Hawkshead, Cumbria, featuring produce displays, livestock sections, trade stands and a fell race. Online entry forms and schedules are published for exhibitors and competitors.

Join this monthly trail series at Wirral Country Park featuring an 8 km course. Open to runners aged 16 and over, the event offers individual race entries and series trophies across multiple age categories.

Challenge yourself on the Pilgrims Cross Fell Race across the West Pennine Moors, a scenic but tough 10.7 km with 390 m of climb. Entry is on the day only with a small fee, and the race features in the Rossendale midweek series.

Bingley Rock up n' Run is a pop up Summer Series event in Bingley offering 5k and 10k routes with on the evening registration. Runners receive a jumble medal, food, a drink and a sweetie bag.

A self-navigated trail event in Edale with four distances across steep, muddy and rocky terrain; GPX maps and staffed checkpoints are provided, and some kit is mandatory.

Trail half marathon and 10k at Carsington Water on 22 August 2026 with marked, undulating routes, marshals and an event village offering food, drink and partner goodies; discounted event t-shirts and volunteer roles are available.

A 19.5 km fell race from sheep pens above Hartsop with 1370 m of ascent, five checkpoints and varied navigation choices across High Raise, Haweswater and Gray Crag. Entries open November 2025; minimum age 18.

Trail races on the flat Leeds/Liverpool Canal towpath at Kirkstall with five distances on a lapped 6.7 mile loop. Feed stations, marshals and finish food are provided; all finishers receive a bespoke medal.
