Lakeland Paws: Grizedale Growl

The event takes place on 1 November 2026 in Grizedale Forest on the south side of the forest, with views over Coniston Water. It is the second event in a nine-event series during the fifth season.

Courses run on wide forest paths and on a mix of forest roads and trails. The route is fully marked and the event is chip timed. GPX files are available for download.

Runners may compete with or without dogs. The course allows up to two dogs per runner on the wide paths, and all dogs must be run on a suitable harness.

There are two course options:

10K loop, 250 m ascent
5K route, 180 m ascent

Minimum age for entry is 16 or older. Entry fee is £20. Entries open on 27 April 2026 and close on 31 October 2026 at 12:00. The event follows a consistent series format with individual starts for each athlete and the same course type as other events in the series.
