Lakeland Paws: Grizedale Growl
Season 5 event set in Grizedale Forest on the south side of the forest with views over Coniston Water. It is the second event in a possible nine-event series and is run on wide forest paths that mix forest roads and trails. The route layout allows two dogs per runner when dogs are used, and all dogs must run in a suitable harness. Runners may also compete without dogs. The course is fully marked and the event is chip timed. GPX files are available for download.
Two course options are offered:
- 10K loop with 250 m of ascent
- 5K route with 180 m of ascent
Minimum entry age is 16 years. Entry fee is £20. Entries open 27 April 2026 and close 31 October 2026. The event uses the original Grizedale route on wide forest paths and is described by the organiser as one of the lower elevation options in the series.
