Swinsty & Fewston Lakeside Dash

Swinsty & Fewston Lakeside Dash is a trail running event held at Swinsty and Fewston Reservoirs near Otley (Swinsty & Fewston Reservoir Car Park, North Lane, LS21 2NP). The core route is a 6.7-mile reservoir loop that follows woodland paths and off-road tracks, with notable autumn colours and quiet countryside views.

The course is described as undulating and suitable for all abilities. Trails are maintained and of good quality. The event is fully marshalled and signed, and feed and drink stations are provided approximately every 3 miles. It operates as a cup-less event; participants are asked to bring a reusable cup or bottle for refreshments.

Facilities and logistics include public toilets at the car park and convenient pay-and-display parking next to the registration area. Road shoes are recommended for the route. Headphone rules are in place for safety: over-ear headphones are discouraged; bone-conducting headphones or one-in/one-out in-ear use are acceptable. The route may include some unmarshalled road crossings.

Race entry covers a range of distances and finisher rewards include a bespoke medal and post-race treats. Self-service transfers or deferrals are available free of charge; if the organiser processes a transfer, a £5 administration fee may apply.
