The Grim Reservoir Dogs

The Grim Reservoir Dogs is a dog-friendly trail event held at Swinsty & Fewston Reservoir car park in North Yorkshire. It is presented as part of a multi-day offering where entrants may take part on one or more days. The course follows looped routes around the reservoirs on mainly off-road paths.

Parking is located next to registration in a public pay-and-display car park and council parking charges may apply.

This event is a fun dog race and is not run under Canicross rules and regulations. The setting around Swinsty and Fewston Reservoirs offers woodland trails and reservoir views throughout the looped course, providing a running experience that includes both trail surfaces and seasonal scenery. Round Hill Fell Race is an 8.7 mile run across Blubberhouses Moor with about 1,100 ft of ascent, visiting Round Hill and Ellar Carr Pike. Entry is on the day for runners aged 18 and over and full FRA kit is required.

A mid-summer out-and-back fell race from Mytholmroyd to Crow Hill and back, about 5 miles with 305 m ascent, including a woodland descent through Redacre Woods. Part of Todmorden Harriers' Summer Series.

Evening pop up trail races at Rodley along the Leeds & Liverpool Canal offering 5k and 10k options, licensed under UKA rules with on the day entry and food.

A 5-mile out-and-back fell race over Eshton Moor along the Pennine Way route, with junior and senior categories, modest entry fees and perpetual trophies for club members.
