The Grim Reservoir Dogs

The Grim Reservoir Dogs is a dog friendly trail event held at Swinsty and Fewston Reservoirs near Otley, North Yorkshire. It is presented as part of a multi day series, with the option to take part on individual days.

Participants choose between two looped routes that run mostly off road along well maintained paths. Distances offered:

  • 3.3 mile loop along mainly off road paths
  • 6.7 mile loop along mainly off road paths

The course is described as undulating with good quality trail surface. The route is fully marshalled and clearly signed, with feed and drink stations located at approximately three mile intervals. Public toilets are available at the site and parking is in a public pay and display car park adjacent to the registration area.

The event is organised with dog runners in mind; dog rewards and treats are provided and finishers receive a bespoke race medal. This is a fun dog race and is not run under Canicross rules and regulations. Entry is open to people aged 16 and over on the event date, and published entry prices range from about £14 to £25.
