Three Counties Trot

The Three Counties Trot is an annual November event organised by Billinge Running Club. The race in 2026 takes place on Saturday 7 November and follows a 5 mile route on the club's trails. The course is described as scenic, varied and sometimes muddy. The organisers note the event welcomes both beginners and experienced runners and combines racing with a social atmosphere.

Registration and event HQ are at The Delph Tavern, WN5 8UN, with bag drop available there. The Delph Tavern provides tea and coffee and is the only toilet location listed for the event; there are no toilets at the start. Registration closes in good time before the start to allow movement to the start area. The start is on the Janet Lalley fields across from Tontine Park. There will be a short race briefing and a minutes silence to mark remembrance weekend.

Car parking is a short walk from registration, with the main car park at Upholland High School WN5 7AL. Attendees are asked not to use The Delph Tavern car park for parking because it is for drop off and event staff only. The route will be marshalled and marked with flags and signs. A GPX file is provided for the course. After the race participants may return to The Delph Tavern for post race activities and results and awards are scheduled for early afternoon.
