The Three Counties Trot is a trail race organised by Billinge Running Club on Saturday 8 November 2025. The course distance is 5 miles. The route is fully marked and marshalled and includes varied trail terrain, woodland and hills. The race starts from the Janet Lalley fields opposite Tontine Park and finishes near The Delph Tavern.

Post-race refreshments and social activity take place at The Delph Tavern. Results and awards are scheduled for early afternoon.

Location and logistics

Event registration and bag drop are at The Delph Tavern, Wigan (Tontine, WN5 8UJ). The Delph Tavern provides the only toilets for the event; there are no toilets at the start. Bag drop is available in the pub but the venue and club are not responsible for belongings left there.

The main car park for the event is at Upholland High School, WN5 7AL. The Delph Tavern car park is for drop-off only and not for general parking. The route will be signed with flags and signs and marshals will be present along the course. A GPX file for the route is available from the organiser.
