A 55 km ultra following Wainwright's coast to coast route from Kirkby Stephen to Richmond, passing the North Pennines AONB, the Nine Standards and Swaledale. Entries open 15 June 2026; minimum age 18.

A chip timed forest run at Whinlatter with two runnable routes of about 9 km and 12 km on wide tracks, both with significant ascent. Dogs may run in a suitable harness and kit to borrow is provided.

An 80 km ultra following Wainwright's coast to coast route from Ingleby Cross to Robin Hood's Bay, running along the northern edge of the North York Moors National Park. Entries open 15 June 2026 and minimum age is 18.

Trail event along the Cleveland Way from Skinningrove to the Charm Bracelet sculpture and Saltburn. The route is 7.4 miles with 890 ft elevation, welcomes runners and walkers aged over 15, and includes a medal plus checkpoint snacks.

A Backyard Ultra at West Benridge Farm where runners complete a 4.167-mile loop each hour until one runner remains. The event has camping, aid stations and a prize for the Last Standing.

Trail running in Hawkshead with marked 10 km and 16 km routes, scenic Lake District views and the steep Coffin Trail climb. Courses are marshalled with water stations, event village facilities and category prizes for eligible starters.

A trail running festival in Keswick on 10 April 2027 with two routes, 53k and 23k, across classic Lake District terrain. The event is TRA licensed and includes live ultra tracking, chip timing, photos and a themed medal.

A coastal trail half marathon from Redcar to Staithes covering 14.35 miles with varied terrain, 1591 ft of ascent and a five hour limit. Two aid stations, a finishers medal and category trophies are provided.

A coastal trail marathon from Redcar to Whitby following the England Coast Path and Cleveland Way. The 26.57 mile route includes sand, cliffs and 3,263 ft of ascent, with four aid stations, marshaled checkpoints and a GPX route available.

A new 10km trail run around Bamburgh Castle and the beach on the Northumberland coast. The Saturday event features live chip timing, allows one dog per runner, and includes finisher medals and on-site parking.

A community charity relay at Haverthwaite Station near Ulverston with mixed teams formed on the day and an entry fee of £3 per person. Parking is at the station and a free train service is provided for runners and spectators.

Beyond Newcastle runs from the Quayside in Newcastle offering fully supported 55 km and 25 km trail routes that follow the Tyne and Derwent rivers with marshals, feed stations and live chip timing. Finishers receive a medal and merchandise.

Trail canicross in Dodd Wood with fully marked routes and views across Bassenthwaite lake. Two options are offered: an 8K with 370 m ascent or a 5K with 210 m ascent; chip timed with GPX files available.

An annual fell race across the Three Peaks area with main, relay and junior events. Relay teams of six cover three defined legs; the event is part of the World Mountain Running Ranking and is a UTMB Index race.

The Beecraigs Backyard Ultra will take place in Linlithgow on Saturday 24 April 2027. You can run 4 miles.

A marked, chip timed Whinlatter race with two route choices around Seat How including an 8K summit loop and a 5K shorter option; dogs may run with harnesses provided.

May 2027

A 50 mile trail ultra from Malham across the Yorkshire Dales with 2593 m of ascent and live GPS tracking. The route includes Malham Cove and the Yorkshire three peaks and features five supported checkpoints and mandatory kit checks.

Trail running at Staveley, Cumbria with 5 km, 10 km and half marathon routes on marked, marshalled trails, varied terrain and an event village offering music, food and merchandise.

A 90K UTMB Index 100K ultra along the historic Pilgrim Way from North Queensferry to St Andrews Cathedral. The fully marked route crosses towns such as Dunfermline and Ceres, includes 1,200 m of ascent and GPS tracking.
