Trail Running calendar near Isle of Portland 2026-2027

Trail runs from Roundhill Campsite through New Forest National Park with 21.6 km, 16.7 km and 10.0 km options, wide hard-packed paths, likely wildlife sightings, chip timing and a metal finisher medal.

A 10 mile cross country race around Castle Drogo on 15 November 2026, featuring 535 m of climb, muddy hilly terrain and water stations at Fingle Bridge and the finish. The event follows FRA rules and does not permit dogs or headphones.

MoRunning at Southampton Common offers chip timed 1.5k, 5k, 10k and a half marathon with medals, finisher headbands and on-site race facilities. The course mixes paths, trails and grass and is dog friendly and buggy usable.

A family friendly MoRunning event at Ashton Court Park with 1.5 km, 5 km, 10 km and half marathon options, chip timing, medals and fundraising in support of Movember.

Night trail runs from Corfe Castle in Dorset with three route choices across ridges, commons and woodland. Expect muddy singletrack, an outpost on the long route, no dogs and no headphones.

A six hour timed event at Dartington Hall with repeat 5 km laps and a canicross option. Mixed terrain, on-site catering and chip timing; proceeds support a new playground.

An evening trail at Dartington Hall with 10K and 5K single-lap courses, 1K and 2K kids races, and canicross. Green Table will host registration and refreshments while the event raises funds for a new childrens playground.

An underground marathon at UCAP BUNKER near Portsmouth on 21 November 2026. The multi lapped route runs through low tunnels, has a six and a half hour cut off, and requires a headtorch and cycle helmet.

A night-time trail run at Moors Valley Country Park with looped 10 km laps and options of 10 km, 20 km or 30 km; the course is fully marked and a headtorch is mandatory.

A scenic off-road 10 mile trail race in the New Forest hosted by Totton Running Club, with medals, water stations and age-category trophies. Entries close 19/11/2026 and the field is limited to 301 runners.

An eight hour timed road event near Littleham with 5.3 km out-and-back laps on tarmac, flexible start under the TUGG system, limited to 75 entrants and featuring a mixed-batch medal allocation.

A trail running event at Mothecombe on the Erme Estuary offering an 8.5 mile Classic and a Half Marathon. Courses include estuary crossings, marked and marshalled trails, mandatory head torch and a finisher medal.

An 8 hour timed road event on Sunday 29 November 2026 near Exmouth with **5.3k** laps on tarmac along a former railway. Entrants aged 18 and over can complete up to 14 laps and receive a medal from a mixed selection.

A late November trail race through 600 acres of dense woodland at Charborough Estate offering a 10 km loop, a 21 km double loop and a relay for two runners. Expect rough rooted trails, one aid station and a marked course.

December 2026

Coastal 10 Mile and 10K races run from Hengistbury Head in Bournemouth along largely flat, traffic-free seafront paths past Boscombe Pier. The event features chip timing, water stations, finisher medals, and a plastic free policy.

Trail running event in Swanage on 5 December 2026 with 10K, half, marathon and ultra routes along the Jurassic Coast Path; part of the Endurancelife 2026-27 season and linked to the Season Leaderboard.

A winter trail running festival at Holmesly Campsite in the New Forest on 6 December 2026, offering 15 km, 30 km, marathon and 50 km one lap off‑road courses with marked routes, bag drop and mandatory kit requirements.

A festive trail running event at Moors Valley Country Park on 6 December 2026, offering a 2 km fun run for children plus 5 km and 10 km trail races; on-site parking is available for £5 and entry fees range from £12 to £26.

A festive *10k* trail race in Cockington Country Park near Torquay with hilly, winding trails and countryside views. Finishers receive a bespoke metal medal and a choice of Christmas cake, mince pie or yule log.

A timed trail event in the Forest of Bere featuring a 3.28 mile lap and distance options from 5 km to ultra. Aid station serves sweet and savoury food including potatoes and vegan choices, and 20% of proceeds support Forestry England.
