The MTC Winter Green Man Ultra

The MTC Winter Green Man Ultra is a winter edition of the Mount to Coast Green Man Ultra held around Bristol on the Community Forest Path. The race is offered in two distances on the same day using the same checkpoints and finish, with the winter course run in an anti clockwise direction.

Both formats use staffed checkpoints that provide water and a selection of food. The event uses chip timing, offers pacers running to 9, 10, 11 and 12 hour targets, and enforces checkpoint cut offs that limit overall completion time.

Key event features include mandatory kit requirements and self navigation supported by downloadable GPX files and a written route booklet. Random kit checks take place at registration. All finishers receive a bespoke Green Man technical T shirt, a bespoke Green Man medal and a signed certificate; additional GMU buckles are awarded to runners who complete both the summer and winter 45 mile events based on cumulative time bands.

Registration is non refundable and there are payable transport options to transfer GMU30 starters to the 30 mile start. The event donates a portion of entry fees to upkeep of the Community Forest Path and nominates Avon Wildlife Trust as its race charity.
