The Summer Green Man Ultra on Saturday 22 August 2026 is organised as two race options on the Community Forest Path around Bristol: a full loop of 45 miles and a partial loop of 30 miles. Both distances use the same checkpoints and share the same finish at Ashton Park School, with different start locations. The course for the summer event is run in a clockwise direction. From 2026 the event will use competitor tracking.

Logistics, kit and prizes

The event lists four checkpoints along the route for monitoring and provision of basic food and drink. Competitors must be 20 years or older on the race day and self-navigate the course. Random kit checks are conducted; mandatory items include a backpack, head torch with spare batteries, printed maps or OS maps, compass or GPS device, whistle, mobile phone, emergency food and a basic first aid kit. Finishers receive a bespoke Green Man medal; the race shirt is offered as an optional extra from 2026. Entry options and fees for the 2026 event are published and include solo and paired entries, transport and defer options; deposits and payments are non refundable.
