Chichester Harbour Trail Run : overview

The Chichester Harbour Trail Run takes place on Saturday 28 February 2026 around the Chidham Peninsula and along harbour-side coastal paths in Chichester Harbour, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The route uses quiet trails and coastal paths with views toward Bosham Hoe, Itchenor, East Head and the South Downs. At low tide there is a short foreshore crossing on the course. The event offers canicross options and is described as flat; recorded elevation gains are +65 m for the 21 km route and +50 m for the 16 km route. Spectators are welcome.

Entry includes chip timing, a bib number, finishers medal, personalised certificate, water stations, drink, first aid and finisher goodies. Course signage uses pink arrows and pink tape; hazards and road junctions will be marked with caution signs. One dog per runner is permitted; organisers advise bringing poo bags, water, treats and an appropriate lead. GPX files are available for both routes.
