Trail Running calendar near Hayle 2026-2027

An early evening trail run at Newnham Park offering 8 Miler and 4 Miler looped courses with canicross categories. Entries run from 15 October 2025 to 27 August 2026 and proceeds support Bowel Cancer West.

A Backyard Ultra in Devon and Cornwall on 29 to 30 August 2026 where runners complete a fixed **4.167 mile** loop every hour on the hour until one person remains. Entry fee £95, minimum age 18, camping included.

Train ing Challenge on 29 August 2026 in Bridestowe is an eight hour timed off road event on a former train line. Participants complete 5.3 km laps and may do multiple laps within the permitted time.

A timed 8 hour event on 30 August 2026 in Bridestowe with flexible arrival under a TUGG system. Laps are 5.3 km on an old train line, places are limited to 70 and finishers receive a medal.

An eight hour timed out-and-back challenge on an old disused train line in Bridestowe on 31 August 2026, with **5.3 km** laps, a 70-person capacity and medals for finishers who complete their final lap within the time limit.

September 2026

A coastal festival near Hope Cove, Devon combining trail races from 5k to ultra with swim runs, a sea swim, camping, family activities, forest school and evening music.

A 42 km multi island trail marathon across the Isles of Scilly with boat transfers, marked coastal routes and organised support. Entry is limited to 150 runners and competitors must be self sufficient with a minimum of three litres of water..

A mostly off road challenge across Dartmoor from Okehampton to Ivybridge, offered as a 50 km ultra or 30 km challenge with GPX, map support and qualified Mountain Leaders guiding along the route.

A single lap off road moorland race of about 6 miles starting and finishing at Haytor Rock, with steep climbs, woodland sections and a stream crossing. Entry is limited to 350 runners and the event supports the Moor Trees charity.

Two ultramarathon options along the Saints Way Trail on 5 September 2026 in Looe, Cornwall. Choose a 28 Miles coast to coast stage or the 56 Miles return Ricochet, with GPS tracking, feed stations, medals and required kit.

A 60 km coastal trail across the five inhabited Isles of Scilly with boat transfers and technical coastal paths. The race is self sufficient, uses pace based cut offs, and is limited to 150 participants.

A multi-duration trail event at Tehidy Woods on 12 September 2026, using a marked 4 mile loop. Runners choose from 3, 6, 9 or 12 hour formats and compete on a hilly, technical woodland course.

A 10th edition 10.5 mile trail race across southern Dartmoor with almost 650 m of ascent, touching Ryder's Hill and the Red Lake Volcano. The route includes river and clapper bridge crossings, boggy and technical ground and finishes in Scor..

A short fell race on Dartmoor of just under 5 km with 276 m ascent, starting and finishing at Sourton Village Hall. Junior races are available with marked short routes and low entry fees.

A multi-terrain running event at the Flete Estate organised by Ivybridge Rotary Club, featuring 10K, 5K and 1K races, with marshalled routes, medical cover and finishers' awards for each distance.

Storm the Fort is a 10K multiterrain race at Woodland Fort, Plymouth on 13 September 2026. The two lap route uses grass, wooded paths and quiet roads and finishes at Woodland Fort with medals and post-race refreshments.

A coastal multi-terrain race in Bude on 20 September 2026, covering about 8 miles of trails, fields and wooded sections. Two water stations, a postrace pasty for finishers, and overall, age-group and team prizes are provided.

A supported 100 mile self-navigation challenge in Cornwall on 26 and 27 September 2026, covering both north and south coasts with 18,000 ft of ascent, two ferry crossings and seven feed stations, timed via a mobile app.

October 2026

A continuous 100 mile circumnavigation of Dartmoor along the waymarked Dartmoor Way, with six indoor checkpoints, GPS tracking and a 34 hour time limit. Entry requires age 21 plus a prior 50 mile finish within the qualifying period.

A three day coastal challenge from near Padstow to Lands End covering up to 78.6 miles with GPS tracking, staffed checkpoints, daily transport from event HQ and on course medical support.
