Running Events Devon - Spooky Challenge 2026 Day 1

The Spooky Challenge Day 1 takes place on Saturday 31 October 2026 in Bridestowe, at Station Road, EX20 4HF. The event is an 8 hour timed event on an undulating route that is a mix of off road and paved surfaces. The course follows an out and back line on an old disused train line; each lap measures 5.3 km.

The event operates a TUGG system (Turn Up Get Going), which provides a flexible arrival window and a fixed cut-off time for completing laps within the overall timed period. Participants may walk or run and may complete as many laps as they can within the permitted time; finishing after any number of laps within the cut-off is recorded and a medal is available for finishers. If the event reaches capacity, later entrants will receive a bespoke medal chosen from those available on the day.

Maximum entries are limited to 70. Entries close on 29/10/2026. Minimum age to take part is 18 years. Entry categories and fees listed by the organiser include Affiliated £32.00, Unattached £34.00, Affiliated No Perks (no medal or goodies) £21.00, and Unattached No Perks (no medal or goodies) £23.00. Organiser terms and conditions apply.

Local accommodation is noted as the Fox & Hounds, which offers rooms, a bunkhouse and camping, and on site food. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
