Dart Challenge

Dartington Hall, United Kingdom • 20 Nov 2026

Event Format

The Dart Challenge is a six-hour timed trail event on a weekday. Participants complete as many laps of a 5 km loop as they wish within the six-hour window. Completing a single lap earns a finisher's medal. A marathon distance is noted as achievable through eight full laps plus a short out-and-back section. There is a canicross option to run with a dog.

Course and Terrain

The loop course uses mixed terrain including gravel, grass, some tarmac, and can be muddy. The route is described as reasonably flat but includes one hill per lap. Trail shoes are strongly recommended.

Event Base and Amenities

Registration and the event base are at the Green Table Cafe at Dartington Hall in Totnes, Devon. The cafe provides hot drinks and food throughout the day. There is covered and indoor space for participants to rest between laps, with indoor heating available. The event helps raise funds for a new playground at Dartington Hall.

Participant Support

The event provides a marked and marshalled course, professional chip timing, water and feed stations, and free event photos. All finishers receive a medal and a free hot drink or half a beer. First aid and public liability insurance are in place. Parking is available, with a concession being arranged for the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
