Plymouth Pretty Muddy 5k

Plymouth Pretty Muddy is a charity obstacle event over a 5k course at Central Park, Plymouth (PL2 3DQ), organised by Cancer Research UK. The route uses a mixture of hardstanding, fine gravel pathway and mainly grass; the start is on hardstanding and the finish is on grass. Organisers note that grass sections can be thick underfoot and may become soft or muddy in wet weather.

The start line is on Britannia Way opposite the Plymouth Life Centre. The finish area is the grass event site within Central Park by the Plymouth Life Centre field. Wave starts are used with each wave beginning every 15 minutes; groups are advised to book the same wave. Participants must be 13 years of age or older; separate Pretty Muddy Kids events are available for younger children.

Facilities on site include toilets and refreshments. Parking is limited; the nearest large car park is Milehouse Park & Ride, about 150 metres from the start, free to use and offering 599 spaces including 20 EV charging connectors and accessible bays. Blue Badge parking and a designated drop-off area are available nearby. Dogs, bag drop and showers are not available and the event is not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchair users due to the course nature. Marshals are available on course to assist and participants may skip obstacles if needed.

Registered participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training support and a Race for Life medal on completion. A minimum fundraising target applies. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
