Trail Running calendar near Hayfield 2026-2027

Weekend trail races on the Monsal Trail in the Peak District offering a half marathon and a 10K on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 April 2027, using a traffic free multi terrain route that passes through four tunnels and over Monsal viaduct.

A spring trail event at Carsington Water in Derbyshire on 10 April 2027 offering Half Marathon and 10k routes around the reservoir. Routes are marked and GPX is provided; entries include a themed medal and chip-timed results.

Trail event from Skipton with 13, 20 and 34 mile options along sections of the Dales High Way, River Aire Ultra and Pennine Way. The ultramarathon visits Malham Tarn and Gordale Scar and carries ITRA and UTMB points.

A Peak District fell race on 14 April 2027 covering 4.8 km with 340 m of ascent. Pre-entry and on-the-day entry are available and juniors aged 14 and over run in the main race.

An inflatable obstacle-course fun run at Donington Park on 17 April 2027 offering 2.5k, 5k, 10k and 15k options with multiple obstacles per lap, on-course hydration, music zones, medals and event services for participants and spectators.

Chester Ultra 100 is a 102 mile trail ultramarathon around Chester with 1590 m of ascent, 12 organised checkpoints and a 32 hour cut off. The route links forests, sandstone ridges and canals and features live GPS tracking and TRA licensing.

Experience a 52 km circular ultra marathon through the scenic Yorkshire Wolds. This beginner friendly event features live GPS tracking, four indoor checkpoints, and a generous 12 hour cut off time for all participants.

A women only trail half marathon following an out and back route through Sutton Springs Wood and the Five Pits Trail, with an aid station at the turnaround and medals plus cake and hot drinks at the finish. The event supports The Elm Founda..

Flat canal side out and back runs from Granary Wharf along the Leeds Liverpool Canal, offered in 5 km, 10 km and half marathon distances. Routes are traffic free, marshalled, with regular feed stations and finisher medals.

A community charity relay at Haverthwaite Station near Ulverston with mixed teams formed on the day and an entry fee of £3 per person. Parking is at the station and a free train service is provided for runners and spectators.

Trail runs at Elvaston Castle Country Park offering 10.4k, 14.5k and 21.1k distances. Routes pass through woodland, parkland and riverside trails along the River Derwent with marked courses, marshals, water stations and chip timing.

Point-to-point 50 km and 100 km trail routes along the North Wales coast from Prestatyn to Bangor on 24 April 2027. Routes combine long coastal sections and inland hills with aid stations, tracking, chip timing and medical cover.

An annual fell race across the Three Peaks area with main, relay and junior events. Relay teams of six cover three defined legs; the event is part of the World Mountain Running Ranking and is a UTMB Index race.

A Marches LDWA challenge walk from Holdgate near Much Wenlock with 22 mile and 10 mile routes across Abdon Burf and Wenlock Edge. Checkpoints offer refreshments and proceeds support local church communities.

A single-loop 10 km running safari at Yorkshire Wildlife Park on 25 April 2027, on mixed surfaces with views of animals such as lions, rhinos and giraffes. Tickets are currently sold out and a waiting list is available.

A multi-terrain marathon and half marathon on the traffic-free Tissington Trail in Derbyshire, using a former railway line between Ashbourne and Buxton. Includes route maps, a bespoke medal, free photos and prizes for leading runners.
