A marathon and half marathon on the traffic free Tissington Trail in Derbyshire on 26 April 2026, using a 13 mile former railway route between Ashbourne and Buxton. Advance and on the day entry options are noted.

A classic fell race covering 9.6 miles and 1970 feet of ascent in the Hayfield area. The 2026 event takes place on Sunday, 26 April and requires online entry only. It has a limit of 300 runners.

A family oriented 2.5K and 5K event at Aston Park where every finisher receives a cuddly teddy. The run raises funds for Birmingham Children's Hospital and finishes with a teddy bears picnic.

Take on the Ian Charlesworth Hartcliff Hill fell race in Penistone on 28 April 2026: a spirited 7.4 km loop over fields and rough tracks with great views and friendly marshals. Fast, well marked and ideal for club teams.

Orchan Rocks is a classic fell race in the South West Pennines on Tue 28 Apr 2026, starting at the Staff of Life pub in Todmorden. Tackle a punchy 5.4 km course with 280 m climb, open to runners aged 14 and over with pre entry or day entry.

A midweek fell race in Wray on 28 April 2026 covering 11 km with 335 m climb. Entry is on the day only with a £5 fee and teams of three are permitted.

Enjoy a scenic riverside run on the Trans Pennine Trail with 5 km and 10 km routes, mostly flat and fast. Limited to 150 runners, finishers get a drink from Piglove Brewery and night runners must carry a headtorch.

Fo(e) Edge is a compact fell race in the South West Pennines on Wed 29 Apr 2026, sending runners over 4.1 miles with 300 m of climb from Cowpe Village Hall. Entry on the day is £5 and teams are welcome for a spirited midweek test of hill le..

A six hour lap event at Pooley Country Park near Tamworth where runners complete 3.3 mile laps on mixed grassland and park paths. Distances range from a single 5k lap up to many laps within the time limit.

A trail 5k around Clowbridge Reservoir near the Pennine Bridleway, run as two anti clockwise laps from Rossendale Valley Sailing Club. Third race of a three week spring series with prizes and funds donated to local causes.

May 2026

A 50 mile trail ultra in the Yorkshire Dales around Malham with 2593 m of ascent and five staffed checkpoints. It follows the Pennine Way and Yorkshire 3 Peaks routes and requires prior marathon experience and mandatory kit.

A guided run across the 15 Welsh 3,000 ft peaks in Snowdonia, covering about 30 miles and 4,000 m of ascent. Support includes transport, food stations, a mountain guide and a support vehicle; the route is shown as a non race event.

A circular 30 mile ultra through mid Wales on 2 May 2026, starting and finishing at Dol Lys Camp Ground in Llanidloes. The route follows Sarn, Glyndwr’s Way, Severn Way and Wye Valley Walk and reaches the source of the River Severn.

A trail event on 2 May 2026 at Carding Mill Valley offering a half marathon (one 13.1-mile lap) or a full marathon (two laps). Entries for the main race are limited to 200 and a virtual option runs the week of May 4th.
