Rasselbock Marathon 2026 - Sherwood Pines Forest, Nottinghamshire
The Rasselbock Marathon weekend takes place on 12 July 2026 in Sherwood Pines Forest. The event offers multiple distances on looped routes through forest paths, compact fire roads and areas of sand, with roughly 250 m of elevation per loop.
Distances:
- 50.6 km Ultra
- Marathon (two 13.1-mile loops)
- Half Marathon 13.1 miles
- Mini Rasselbock 8.5 km
Cut-off times are set at over 7 hours for the half marathon, 8 hours for the marathon, 2.5 hours for the mini event and 8 hours for the ultra. The marathon course includes nine aid stations and the half marathon includes four aid stations. Chip timing is used for finish times.
The event village sits in the forest arena and includes bag drop, information tent, dedicated first aid, food and drink vendors, a bar, music and an announcer. Portable toilets are available; there are no showers or changing facilities. The routes are not suitable for wheelchairs and the village accessibility depends on ground conditions. Ample car parking is available in the forest car park; a runner discount code for parking is provided in the event booklet.
Entries receive a bespoke wooden finisher trophy rather than a traditional medal; on-the-day personalization has been offered previously and the 2026 design will continue this approach. Environmental measures include planting trees, recycling ocean-bound plastic and offsetting event CO2. Age limits apply: ultra and marathon 18 or over, half 17 or over, mini 14 or over. The marathon and half marathon are not UKA affiliated. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
