The Wirral Summer Trail Series - Jul

The Wirral Summer Trail Series is a recurring athletic event held at Wirral Country Park. This specific installment takes place in July and is part of a larger series occurring on the third Tuesday of every month from April through August. The competition is open to all participants who are at least 16 years of age on the date of the first race.

The course remains the same for each month of the series, providing a consistent route for participants to measure their progress. Participants can choose to enter individual races or commit to the entire series.

  • 8 km (approximately)

The event uses a category-based scoring system for both male and female participants, with age groups ranging from Under 18 to over 70. Trophies are awarded based on performance throughout the series, specifically looking at the best positions across four out of the five races. Overall individual awards are also presented to the top three female and male finishers.

Participants who complete four out of the five races in the full series are eligible to receive a T-shirt. Proceeds from the event, beyond necessary expenses, are allocated toward trophies, medals, spot prizes, and the organization Running Headfirst. Registration is managed online, with the possibility to enter up to 30 minutes before the event begins. Results are published promptly following the conclusion of the race.
