Trail Running calendar near Gargrave 2025-2026

Tackle Midgley Moor on 15 February 2026, a 5 mile fell race near Halifax across moorland with steep climbs and navigation challenges. Pre entry or on the day entries; FRA kit is mandatory and teams of three welcome.

Tough 5 km fell race in Mirfield, Peak District, tackling roughly 210 m of climb on a single lap course. Also hosting the Yorkshire U14 U16 U18 and U20 championships with junior races and chocolates for finishers.

Take on the Cracoe Cracker Challenge on 21 Feb 2026 with 12 or 25 mile routes through the Yorkshire Dales from Cracoe Village Hall. Well stocked checkpoints and a finish meal welcome runners and walkers 16+.

Doctors Gate Fell Race in the Peak District is a classic 12.7 mile course with about 1000 m of climb across open moorland where navigation matters. Open to adults with on the day entry available, it is part of the FRA English Champs.

Join the scenic Derwent Reservoir winter trail runs on 22 February 2026, offering 5 and 10 mile routes across trails, woods and reservoir views. Medals, Wild Deer merch and snacks await every finisher and the 5 mile is canicross friendly.

Challenge yourself at the South Pennine 24 on 28 February 2026, a 24 mile route with 3,900 ft of climb across wild moorland around Dovestone Reservoir. Fully supported with four checkpoints; event is full but a wait list is open.

Run under the stars at Whinlatter Forest on 28 Feb 2026 with Lakeland Paws Whinlatter Tails Night Run offering 5 km and 10 km routes. Bring up to two dogs or go solo, pack a head torch and enjoy a chip timed, marked forest course.

Cloud Nine is a classic 9 mile fell race from Congleton to the summit of Bosley Cloud and back, offering rugged trails and great views. Entry is by pre registration only, places are limited and FRA mandatory kit rules apply.
