Whinlatter FRA Junior Championships : Whinlatter Forest Park
The Whinlatter FRA Junior Championships is Round 6 of the Fell Runners Association junior series, held on 12 July 2026 at Whinlatter Forest Park. The event is for junior categories from Under 10 up to Under 20 and is organised under FRA rules. Entry for juniors is by pre-entry only; there are no entries on the day for juniors. The senior race is held alongside but is entries-on-the-day only.
The event uses Revelin Moss Car Park, Whinlatter Pass, as the start location (postcode CA12 5TW). All junior courses are out-and-back except the U20 and senior route, which runs clockwise. Course maps are provided for each category.
Distances and ascent by category:
- Under 10 (born 2017–2020): 1.5 km, 100 m ascent
- Under 12 (born 2015–2016): 2.0 km, 190 m ascent
- Under 14 (born 2013–2014): 3.2 km, 350 m ascent
- Under 16 (born 2011–2012): 3.6 km, 420 m ascent
- Under 18 (born 2009–2010): 3.6 km, 420 m ascent
- Under 20 (born 2007–2008): 5.6 km, 510 m ascent
