Trail Running calendar near Formby 2026-2027

A 300 km self supported ultra race across northern England from St Bees to Robin Hood's Bay, crossing three National Parks with about 6,500 m of ascent. Entries for the 2026 edition are full.

Lakes Traverse 2026 is an epic 100 km ultra across the Lake District from St Bees to Shap, following Wainwrights Coast to Coast and sweeping through Ennerdale, Borrowdale and Haweswater. Take on the challenge on 28 to 29 March 2026.

Join the Daffodil Run & Walk on Saturday 28 March 2026, a scenic 13 mile out and back from Pooley Bridge to Hallin Fell. Suitable for walkers and runners, the route is signposted with drink stations and refreshments in Pooley Village Hall.

A marked, single-track trail race around Reeth in the Yorkshire Dales featuring steep ascents, technical descents and mining hushes, mandatory safety kit, stocked aid stations and GPX route files. Entry is limited and age restricted.

A 55 km ultra on Wainwright’s coast to coast route from Kirkby Stephen to Richmond, crossing the North Pennines and Yorkshire Dales. The event emphasises self-sufficiency, mandatory kit checks, mapped GPX support and staffed aid stations.

A forest trail event on Sunday 29 March 2026 around Whinlatter Top with two route options, chip timing and marked courses. Dogs may run with suitable harnesses and borrowable kit is available.
