Wakefield Pretty Muddy 5k : Thornes Park, 13 June 2026

The event is a Pretty Muddy 5k obstacle course at Thornes Park, Wakefield. The course involves climbing, crawling and sliding over a mix of surfaces and elevations and raises funds for Cancer Research UK. Participants must be at least 13 years old. Entry fees listed are Adults £22.49 and Children £12.00, with a minimum fundraising target of £50.00.

The start and finish are on grass and are located on the playing field near the children's playground. The route combines surfaced paths, woodland tracks and undulating grassed areas and includes rolling hills, downhill sections and uphill gradients. The terrain can be uneven.

Facilities on site include refreshments and toilets. The event is not suitable for wheelchair users and pushchairs are not suitable. Dogs, bag drop and showers are not available. Blue badge parking for accessible users is available in the Athletics Stadium car park; there is no designated event parking and town centre pay and display car parks are approximately a 10 to 15 minute walk away. The nearest train station is Wakefield Westgate, about a 10 to 15 minute walk. Cycle parking is not available.

A three race series of 5 km canal towpath runs in Methley, Leeds that raises funds for the Jane Tomlinson Appeal. The final meeting includes a 1.5 mile fun run with a school competition and medals for all.

An evening popup running event in Kirkstall, Leeds offering 5k and 10k races with on the evening registration, a jumble medal and a soft drink for all runners.

A Wharfedale Harriers moorland race on Thursday 7 May 2026 covering about 7 miles and 1100 ft of ascent. Runners start at Barrier Car Park, touch the gate by Dick Hudsons Pub on the moor and return while choosing their own route.

Three circular challenge routes of 26.2, 23 and 18 miles around the Colne Valley near Marsden. Entries are by SIEntries with a 150 person limit and include checkpoints, refreshments and a finish meal.
