Ultra-Trail Grizedale

Ultra-Trail Grizedale is a two-day trail running event set in Grizedale Forest in the Lake District, held at Bowkerstead Farm, Satterthwaite, Ulverston (LA12 8LL). The event runs across Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th June 2026 and includes racing, camping, food and evening activities such as BBQs, music, an outdoor bar and talks.

The weekend offers two distinct race formats. Saturday features an eight hour trail relay on a scenic, technical forest loop where runners complete as many laps of the 7 km course as they can within the event window. Relay formats include solo, pairs and teams of three, four or five. Sunday is a 22 km trail race run as individuals, composed of two laps of an 11 km technical forest circuit; pair and team results are derived from combined individual times. Minimum age for entry is 16.

Included for weekend ticket holders and competitors are camping, fully marked and marshalled routes, professional live timing, medical support, hot showers and wash facilities, and external catering vendors. Additional onsite features include a demo stand and product offers, talks by local runners, race tattoos, medals and prizes. Day ticket options and separate camping add-ons are available according to the event information. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
