Ultra-Trail Grizedale - Grizedale Forest, Lake District

Ultra-Trail Grizedale is a two-day trail running event on 13 to 14 June 2026 at Bowkerstead Farm, Satterthwaite, Ulverston (LA12 8LL), organised by Lakota Expeditions. The event combines running with camping, food vendors, an outdoor bar and talks.

The weekend features two distinct races:

  • 8 hour Trail Relay: multiple laps of a scenic technical 7 km forest loop
  • 22 km Trail Race: two laps of an 11 km scenic technical forest loop

The relay is offered in Solo, Pairs and Team formats (teams of 3, 4 or 5). The 22 km race is run as individuals; pair and team results are formed by combining individual times. Minimum age for entry is 16. Entries are not yet open and entries close on 6 June 2026.

Weekend and day ticket options are available. Examples of listed fees per person include a full weekend solo fee of £125, pairs £105 pp and team tickets from £95 pp with reduced rates for under 18s. Saturday and Sunday day tickets are available with smaller fees. Camping for weekend ticket holders covers Friday and Saturday; camping can also be added to day tickets at £15 per night for adults and £7.50 per night for under 18s.

On-site provisions include marked and marshalled routes, professional live timing, medical support, hot showers, external catering vendors, equipment demos and talks, plus medals and prizes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

A long high level traverse of over 60 miles across the Yorkshire Dales from Ingleton to Threshfield on 25 and 26 April 2026. The route climbs more than 11,000 feet, is served by 25 checkpoints, and includes live tracking and on route food.

The Eskdale Elevation will take place in Boot on Saturday 25 April 2026. You can run 20 kilometers.

Experience a unique hybrid fitness challenge at Cockshott Point with solo events and weighted ruck runs along the scenic trails of Lake Windermere. Enjoy live chip timing and a lakefront course in the heart of the Lake District.

A midweek fell race in Wray on 28 April 2026 covering 11 km with 335 m climb. Entry is on the day only with a £5 fee and teams of three are permitted.
