MacTuffX Manchester is a functional fitness race that forms part of a nationwide series covering more than 30 venues in nearly 30 cities. The race format combines set strength and conditioning movements, called Xercises, with repeated running laps.
Each event requires completion of ten Xercises and ten running legs. Participants can choose between two distance formats:
- 10 x 400 m runs (Classic)
- 10 x 800 m runs (2X double distance)
Competitors may enter as a solo athlete, as a doubles pair sharing the work, or in a relay team. In the relay format a team is five people, with each person completing two runs plus Xercises. A LITE division uses reduced weights and runs alongside the standard divisions.
Entry is restricted to people aged 18 or over on the day of the event. Published entry fees for the Manchester event include Solo X at £65, Solo 2X at £80, Doubles X at £120 per team, Doubles 2X at £140 per team, Relay X at £140 per team, and Relay XX at £165 per team.
The event uses a live leaderboard that provides data by race, division, Xercise, gender, and age group and is accessible via smartphone, tablet, and on-site screens. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
