Trail Running calendar near Charltons 2025-2026

Join the Lakeland Trails Ultra in Ambleside on 11 July 2026 with 100k, 55k, 23k or 14k options from Rothay Park. Waymarked routes through fells and valleys, ample course support and a lively event village make it a must for trail runners.

Take on the New Embsay Fell Race on Sat 11 Jul: a punchy 2.5 mile course with 195 m of climb through the Yorks Dales. Part of the village fete, enjoy entertainment and refreshments and easy on the day entry for a fun community challenge.

Take on the Lyke Wake Challenge 2026, a point to point crossing of just over 40 miles between Osmotherley and Ravenscar along an unmarked moorland route. Finishers receive a technical t shirt and help support local mountain rescue.

Run the Eight Stations Ultra, a scenic 30 mile trail from Whitby to Pickering that follows railway lines and passes eight stations. Partly self navigational with GPX and checkpoints, this muddy route rewards finishers with a medal and tee.
